It's unfortunate that you feel you have to give up the political content for fear of losing friends. One would expect that if people didn't like your show, then they'd simply stop listening to it - I could understand people being upset if you were pushing your political views on them at a party or something, but a podcast is pretty much the exact opposite of that. Such is life, I guess. Bleeding-hearts do tend to take politics very personally.
That said, while I love the political content of your show, I think your non-political shows are really entertaining too.
